Our Story

Although we didn’t know it at the time, Blazer Six, Inc. took roots during the last century. Sometime around the year 1990 our elementary school installed a computer lab consisting of what would now be considered primitive Macintoshes. We were taught how to operate the computers and how type, but more importantly we were introduced to The Oregon Trail, our first taste of rugged individualism.

Countless hours of spare time were spent honing and polishing our hunting skills, repairing broken wagon parts, and protecting party members from various diseases such as dysentery.

Eventually the magic of the game wore off and we moved on to other interests, but the entrepreneurial spirit of those travelers had already been instilled in us. Fast forward a decade. The summer after high school graduation we saved enough money to purchase a video camera that was eventually used to film stupid stunts (one of which aired on FOX’s Totally Outrageous Behavior). Needing a way to share our videos Brady built a simple website. It was a hobby; something we enjoyed doing. One thing led to another, and BAM!

Our Inspiration

We’re frequently asked about the inspiration behind our name. We hope to blaze new trails, just like the pioneers in Oregon Trail, thus the term “Blazer.”

The number six represents the six pillars upon which our business was built–wait, that’s some other company’s marketing speak–we chose six because it has a better ring to it than two.
